Candy Apples

Also known as toffee apples, candy apples are covered with a hard coating of sugar with various toppings to it. Famous in the USA and other western countries as a common dessert, they are easily available during autumn festivals e.g. Guy Fawkes Night, Halloween, among others, as it is then in the apple harvest season. It is also available in a wide range of forms like soft, chewy, hard and brittle.

Generally, it is made by mixing sugar in milk or water, then it's boiled at certain temperature, i.e., the higher the temperature, the harder it becomes and the lesser the temperature, the softer the outcome. If you are a vegetarian, you should avoid Gelatin as it is mixed with either marshmallows or gummy bears, which are made from animal bones. However, you will be delighted to know that sweets like apple candies are without any animal content so they can be eaten by all the people.

To make candy apples, get the following: a dozen red apples, 4-1/2 cups sugar,12 wooden ice cream sticks, 1 tsp red food color, 1-1/2 cups water, 3/4th cup light corn syrup and 1 cup chopped nuts. After you have all the ingredients, cover a baking sheet with butter paper. Wash the apples and put the wooden stem through each, leaving some part of the sticks above them. Add corn syrup, sugar and food color to chopped nuts in a saucepan and bring it to a boil.

Candy, cards and flowers are some of the most common items purchased by men. Certainly it is easy for guys to walk into a store and purchase a box of chocolates or a card. The lazy guy can call a florist and have it delivered. Most men enjoy sexy lingerie, but few dare enter a store to purchase these lustful stimulating under things. Men know that purchasing lingerie can be risky. Here are some things to consider when deciding between lingerie, candy or even both.
